Alex joined FML in December 2008 and brought with him over nine years of “Big Four” public accounting experience. He began his career in assurance services and later transferred to tax consulting and compliance. Alex came to FML from PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he held positions of increasing responsibility, including audit associate, tax senior associate and tax manager. Prior to that, he worked within the assurance services practice of Ernst & Young. Alex’s areas of focus include Accounting for Income Taxes under ASC 740, tax planning and consulting, and federal and state tax compliance; serving both publicly traded and privately held companies ranging in size from small, start-up businesses to large, multinational companies. His expertise includes specialty tax areas related to organizational restructuring, business acquisitions and sales, due diligence, tax credits and incentives, IRS examination assistance and international operations. Alex eagerly works with his clients to keep them in tune with the tax considerations of their business goals and needs. He thrives on facing the challenges of a constantly changing tax landscape and guiding his clients through current and emerging technical issues. He has earned the trust and confidence of his clients through a history of delivering accurate and reliable results.

Alex received his BS in Accounting from the University of Connecticut and is a member of both the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants (CTCPA) and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). Alex is also the Treasurer of the Board of the Hartford Preservation Alliance, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the preservation and revitalization of the unique architectural heritage and neighborhood character of Hartford.
