Benjamin Simmons-Telep is the Director of Programs at reSET. He works to design, implement, and assess programs that support the growth and development of high impact ventures. Ben brings a background in Economics to the development of entrepreneurial programs, and works alongside his colleagues at reSET to build a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem in Connecticut.
Prior to working at reSET, Ben lived and worked in Peru, where he assisted local and international organizations to orchestrate several development projects, and founded and ran an annual aid project which procured and delivered school supplies to underserved Andean communities. Working in the emerging social enterprise sector provides Ben the opportunity to explore the parallels between development economics and impact driven business.
Ben received his B.A. from the University of Connecticut, with Majors in Economics and International Relations and a Minor in Human Rights.
Outside of work, Ben enjoys learning languages, playing soccer, brewing beer, making music, and cooking good food.
