Richard Brown is the Director of Investor Relations with the MetroHartford Alliance. His responsibilities include recruiting businesses and helping organizations leverage their investment in the Alliance. Rich, an alumni of UConn, was born in Jamaica and grew up in East Hartford, CT. He spent almost 8 years at the Urban League of Greater Hartford, in various roles including the Vice President of Human Resources, Senior Vice President of Programs and Operations and concluded his successful tenure as interim President and CEO. Rich has also been a business owner and was a principal partner in the Adion Financial Group in Glastonbury, an insurance agency where he built a $450,000 book of business in 2 years. Rich continues to pursue his entreprenueral interests by investing in real estate.

Rich has been involved in the local Hartford community and is committed to the city’s success. He currently serves on the board of directors for the Knox Foundation, reSET, Our Piece of the Pie, Hartford’s Camp Courant, Oak Hill, Hartford Job Corps Central, Connecticut’s Institute for Technology & Business Development, and Goodwin College’s Education Committee. He is also a member of two networking groups, HYPE (Hartford’s Young Professionals and Entrepreneurs) and the Urban League Young Professionals.
