Adventures in Wellness was founded in July 2013 to make a difference in the ways in which people are supported in their quest for optimal health & wellness. As the owner of Adventures in Wellness I believe the most direct way to reach optimal health & wellness is by being a social impact business because at the heart of Adventures in wellness is a commitment to the core value that everyone deserves to enjoy the benefits of optimal health & wellness. This core value is woven into every business decision, and rather than profits alone, it drives us towards making a tangible impact.

In stepping forth into this world of social entrepreneurship, I quickly came to realize that the mission of Adventures in Wellness was bigger than me and that I would not make the difference that I desired without garnishing the help of others. reSET and its Accelerator program became available to me at a time when I knew I needed the support of other experts with experience and a bigger picture of what is possible. With reSET’s Accelerator Program guidance, I am now taking a solo business venture and joining forces with a community of change makers who are working towards abundance in every aspect of life.

Progress thus far has included,

  • Year 1: Create a strong business foundation (business plan, clarify lean business plan, define social impact, positioning company in a positive, collaborative business support network)

Coming up, Adventures in Wellness plans to:

  • Year 2: Go lean & generate revenue (focus energy on offering one-on-one coaching)
  • Year 3: Grow & increase reach, impact (re-brand to be inclusive of additional customer segments, fold in membership service, develop client community, develop professional affiliate program)
  • Year 10: Demonstrate measurable impact for improved health system support and increased access to preventative health & wellness practices.

reSET’s Accelerator Program has taught me that I what I desire most is not only possible but that creating an impact that serves a wider community through a social impact business model is absolutely possible! And lastly, that by harnessing the positive energy of others who are creating meaningful impacts in the world, we will move forward together to change the culture and ways we think of health & wellness.
