A Connecticut-based company with one goal: to empower curious young minds to be the change-makers and problem-solvers of tomorrow, one box at a time.

On Tuesday, November, 25th 2014 Genius Box announced that their STEM subscription boxes had gone live!

“After a year of beta testing, collecting feedback and doing experiments of our own, we are excited to share the new Genius Box with you!” said co-founders, Kate Pipa and Shivangi Shah.

Pipa and Shah are passionate about STEM education (science, technology, engineering, and math), and believe that every kid should be able to participate in the “STEM revolution.” With a subscription to Genius Box, subscribers will receive a monthly box containing at least three STEM-themed activities, delivered right to their home. Each box is packed with projects and a variety of learning opportunities, Genius Box provides kids with the hands-on experiences they need to spark creativity and to think big!

What is Inside a Genius Box?

A new topic each month: boxes are designed in a way that puts the genius in the drivers seat to solve the challenge at hand, with minimal help from adults.

3+ activities and experiments in each box to illustrate the current month’s topic. Narrative story and activity cards to explain topic and activities i a fun, engaging way.

How Does It Work?

Subscription plans are available as monthly, three-month, and six-month prepaid plans. Subscribers can choose whichever level they prefer by visiting www.genuisbox.me

depending on the plan selected, subscribers will receive a completely new Genius Box on a different topic every month.

In addition, for every Genius Box purchased, $1.00 will be donated to ManyMentors

ManyMentors connects high school and middle school students interested in STEM fields with near-age mentors, either university students pursuing STEM degrees, or STEM graduates who are young professionals in the field. Connections include interactive, engaging workshops and a highly innovative online platform.

ManyMentors provides STEM mentorship in the modern age, and believes that through the power of peer mentoring, students will become inspired, encouraged, and supported to pursue their interest in science, technology, engineering, and math.

Both Genius Box and ManyMentors have completed reSET’s Social Enterprise Business Accelerator, a program designed to support social entrepreneurs launch, grow, and scale their ventures.
