Introducing Senate Bill 23 (“S.B. 23”)
The 2014 legislative session officially kicked off on Feb. 5th and Connecticut’s Benefit Corporation bill S.B. 23, was introduced as part of Governor Dannel Malloy’s budget recommendations for the year. The bill has been reformatted slightly from last year’s version (H.B. 6356),however, it is fundamentally the same bill that passed through the House of Representatives last year with overwhelming bipartisan support.
We anticipate that there will be a public hearing on S.B. 23 in the next few weeks, which will take place before the Commerce Committee. We will be sure to provide you with an update as soon as possible. In the meantime, please help us support the bill in one of the following ways:
