reSET is a non-profit organization whose mission is to advance the social enterprise sector. Its strategic goals are threefold: to be the “go-to” place for impact entrepreneurs, to make Hartford the Impact City, and to make Connecticut the social enterprise state.
reSET was founded in 2007 by Kate Emery, an entrepreneur looking to transition her own company into a social enterprise. The non-profit provides a plethora of resources to the fledging or established social entrepreneur in the Hartford area including:
Located in the Parkville neighborhood of Hartford, just steps away from the recently opened CTfastrak station, the non-profit specializes in impact driven businesses with a double or triple bottom line. reSET aims to support entrepreneurs in creating market-based solutions to community challenges. It’s a great space to network, work collaboratively, learn and grow as a budding social entrepreneur or just take a break from your cat staring at you while you try to work.
Take a virtual tour of their new coworking space, check out their website or visit them over on Park Street — ideally after hopping a ride from downtown on CTfastrak Routes 101, 102, 121 or 128.
