reSET Wins Big at CTNext’s EIA Awards

ewalsh • May 27, 2016

We’re thrilled to announce that all five $10,000 winners (below) at last night’s Entrepreneur Innovation Awards (EIAs) were mentored by Eric Knight, the Entrepreneur-In-Residence at reSET. Eric’s EIR position is a statewide resource, supported by Connecticut Innovations’ CTNext program.

As a bit of background, the EIAs are a fun, Shark Tank-style pitch event for Connecticut entrepreneurs and startups to compete for cash prizes. The reoccurring event is also hosted by CTNext.

  • OBVIA (West Hartford)
  • Olie Robotics LLC (Manchester)
  • SnapSeat LLC (Hartford), a reSET member
  • Thrivio (Trumball)
  • URISE, LLC (Hartford), an early participant in reSET’s accelerator and current member

In addition, OBVIA and Thrivio won an extra $2,000 for the “Judge Favorite” and the “Crowd Favorite” Awards.

Congrats to CTNext on a successful evening! A special shoutout to RepVisits LLC (Wethersfield) and Untapped Potential Inc. (Canton) for their participation as well; both businesses were recent graduates of reSET’s accelerator.
