Connecticut’s Benefit Corporation bill, S.B. 23, is currently making its way through the general assembly. All of you have been so supportive, which is why it’s important to us to keep you up to date on the bill’s status.
S.B. 23 an Act Concerning Benefit Corporations will make its next appearance at this week’s Appropriations Committee meeting where it will be up for a vote. That vote will send S.B. 23 to the Senate for another vote, and if approved the bill will make its final stop at the House of Representatives who will also raise the bill, and hold a vote.
With only a few weeks left to this short session we are feeling anxious and excited; keep standing by! Keep telling your friends and colleagues about Benefit Corporations and what this legislation means for Connecticut’s economic landscape and the future of social enterprise in CT.
